Strategy
Iron Frontier
★★★★★ 4.5
Iron Frontier drops you on an empty stretch of land and asks you to turn it into something. It's a slow-burn strategy game about managing resources, laying out roads, and keeping your little population happy. The learning curve is real, but the tutorial is patient and the payoff is worth it.
What I like most is that it respects your time offline. You can plan a big expansion, set your workers going, and check back later — no timers pushing you to open the app. The map fills out gradually, and there's a quiet pleasure in watching a rough camp become a proper town.
It's the kind of game that rewards thinking a few moves ahead. If you enjoy tidying up systems and optimizing routes, you'll lose whole flights to this one.
What we liked
- No online timers pressuring you to return
- Deep resource and layout planning
- Clear tutorial that eases you in
